General Information about the Graduate School of Economics
Thank you for considering the Graduate School of Economics, Kyushu University for your graduate studies. The Graduate School of Economics provides the special graduate programs for international students each year. This web page was created to inform prospective international students about some key issues at the Graduate School of Economics.
Prospective international students (except for those applying for international graduate courses), should bear in mind that it is required to have adequate command of spoken and written Japanese language (i.e. Japanese Language Proficiency Level 1) before applying the Graduate School of Economics. Normally lectures and workshops (except for the classes under the International Graduate Programs) are carried out in Japanese.
International students in our faculty, whether undergraduates or graduates, take classes and are evaluated in the same manner as Japanese students. Other important information about study and research guidance, official procedure, etc. in our faculty are also usually given in Japanese. Therefore, prospective international students would be often required to be able to listen and read Japanese adequately.
The Graduate School of Economics has three major fields of study and research:

2. Economic Systems
3. Business and Technology Management (Business School)
