授業料
Tuition fees
授業料やその他の経費は日本人学生と同様で、日本円での支払となります。下記の授業料は2020年4月1日現在の授業料とその他の経費です。
International students should, as Japanese students do, pay the tuition fee and course-related fees only in Japanese yen. The following table shows the tuition fee and course-related fees (as of April 1, 2020).

留学生の家庭の状況、財政的な状況によっては、授業料が全額あるいは半額免除される授業料免除制度もあります。
International students who are facing financial difficulties or some family problems might be eligible for exemption of full or half of the tuition fee.
奨学金
Scholarships
九州大学で学ぶ留学生は、日本国政府（文部科学省）の奨学金および私費外国人留学生向けの約30の民間奨学金への申請が可能です。そうした奨学金の多くは、大学からの推薦によって取得が可能となります。奨学金の申請に関しては、入学後により詳しい情報が入手可能です。
九州大学における奨学金取得のための情報は、九州大学ホームページの中の九州大学国際交流部留学生課のページで入手できるので参照して下さい。
International students who are studying at Kyushu University have opportunities to obtain scholarships provided by the Japanese government (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) and by approximately 30 other various private organizations. Most of the scholarships are based on university recommendations. Regarding the scholarship application, students can receive detailed information after enrollment. 大学院（九州大学大学院経済学府）では、外国人留学生特別選抜(指定校推薦)の入学試験を優秀な成績で合格した院生のために「九州大学経済学部国際学術交流振興基金」から特別奨学金枠を確保しています。本奨学金の受給を認められた院生には、月3万円（修士課程：2年間、博士後期課程：3年間）が支給されます。
Additionally, the Graduate School of Economics provides a special scholarship for those who have passed an Entrance Examination for International Students by “Special Recommendation” with outstanding scores. Qualified students will be awarded ¥30,000 per month (Master’s student, max two years; Doctoral student, max three years).
この特別奨学金枠の他にも、九州大学大学院経済学府に学ぶ私費留学生の約25％が月20,000～70,000円の奨学金の支給を受けています。奨学生の選考は公正に行われますが、競争的であり、こうした奨学金の取得を前提に留学計画を立てることは注意が必要です。
About 25% of self-financed international students of the Graduate School of Economics are receiving scholarships of different kinds, ranging from ¥20,000 to ¥70,000 per month. The screening procedures for the scholarship applications are conducted strictly and fairly. It should be competitive for students to be awarded scholarships based on merit rather than need. Therefore, please do not schedule your overseas studies based on receiving scholarship funds.
そのため、九州大学で勉学・研究を行おうとする場合には、資金的な困難に直面しないよう、事前に十分な準備を行うことが求められます。
If you wish to study or conduct research at Kyushu University, you must plan your entire overseas studies carefully before you come to Japan, including how to finance the studies and how to avoid financial difficulties.
住宅その他の生活費に関する情報
Housing and Other Costs
不要なトラブルを回避するために、留学予定者は、日本ではアパートの賃貸の際に、保証人を立てる必要があること、また家賃の最大6か月分に相当する資金 ――これには家主への支払、不動産業者への仲介料、敷金(deposit)などが含まれ、退去時に戻ってくるのは敷金の一部のみ――を支払う慣習があるということを、理解しておく必要があります。
To avoid unnecessary trouble, prospective international students must understand some customs related to renting private apartments in Japan. When renting apartments, students must find a guarantor before concluding a contract with a real estate agency. Furthermore, students must make an advanced payment of up to a maximum of six month’s rent. This covers payments to the apartment owner, a commission fee to the real estate agency, and a deposit (the deposit will be returned partially upon departure).
留学生は、こうした契約の際に保証人となる日本人を探すことが困難である場合が多いことにご注意下さい。
Please be advised that most international students encounter some difficulties in finding an appropriate Japanese guarantor.
こうした困難を軽減するため、福岡地域には「留学生住宅総合補償制度」があります。これは、留学生がアパートを借りたいが保証人が見つからないときに、不動産業者がこの「留学生住宅総合補償制度」に登録していれば、「（財）福岡国際交流協会」などの地域国際化協会が連帯保証を行うという制度です。本制度については、入学後に詳しい案内が入手可能です。
To help relieve some difficulties, a “Housing Guarantor System for International Students” has been established in Fukuoka. When international students are unable to arrange a guarantor by themselves, they can register and apply to find a guarantor through the “Housing Guarantor System for International Students”. Some local international associations in Fukuoka, such as the Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation, will act jointly as a guarantor for students. For details, students will be able to obtain related information after enrollment.
九州大学に在学する留学生の生活費には、家賃や食費などから生じる個人差があります。参考までに、留学生が通常の水準の生活をするための月当たりの費用(授業料を除く)を掲げるなら、おおよそ以下の通りとなっています。
The living expenses of the international students at Kyushu University vary from individual to individual, depending on a student’s housing choices, food, lifestyle, etc. As a reference, international students normally spend in the range of ￥90,000 to ￥130,000 (excluding tuition) per month. Please refer to the details below.

奨学金の項でも指摘した通り、こうした生活費の全てを、奨学金もしくはアルバイトで賄おうとするには無理があります。そのため、毎日の生活費、家賃、授業料(上述)等のための資金を事前に十分に確保しておく必要があります。
As described in the scholarship information presented above, it is unrealistic for international students to assume that they will be able to cover all these expenses through scholarship aid or by working part-time. Therefore, please secure sufficient financial funds in advance to be able to pay daily living expenses, rent, the tuition fee, and other fees.
