Lecture and seminar introduction
My laboratory at Kyushu University supports research in macroeconomics, economic growth, and automation. My research examines long‑run growth dynamics and the economic impact of technological change, combining theoretical modeling with empirical analysis. Students in the lab develop clear analytical thinking and practical research skills through close supervision and collaborative discussion. My laboratory stands out for its long history of welcoming international students. I have supervised students from China, Taiwan, Brazil, Greece, and Namibia, and I create a diverse and stimulating academic community. This multicultural environment promotes open dialogue, broad perspectives, and globally minded research. Through individualized guidance and an inclusive atmosphere, we cultivate researchers who contribute to academic debates and real‑world policy challenges.
